Do a New Thing

I had already shared awhile back that I was leaving Beachbody. I had shared that I really felt God was leading me away, and also, because I really have felt for the longest time that I was on the wrong seat on the bus.

Let me explain.

As someone whose job it was to help people reach their health and fitness goals with the programs and tools I offered, I started to really take notice that while people were encouraged by my words and my actions, I was not the one they went to in order to REACH those health goals. They would go somewhere else. They would hire a personal trainer, join a gym, try a different product or program, whatever. And that is not me blaming them, whatsoever. They were doing their due diligence in finding the best solution for them.

I was just not that solution. And that is okay to admit. I have never, ever wanted to be a personal trainer. I had a Cize Live certification, but really, that was as far as I was going to go with any type of fitness certification. I had no interest in being a fitness professional.

So it really made me think about whether or not I was on the right seat on the bus. My answer came to a defeating: NO.

I also realized that in this business, because I wasn’t gaining customers (people who wanted me to help them with their fitness goals), most of my income was coming from my team. And that was not the reason why I joined. While I realize with Direct Sales/ MLM’s that is part of it, building wealth by building a team, I didn’t want that to be the only way. It wasn’t right to me. The only way you are really successful is if your team is successful. That is a good thing. But I also wanted customers. I wanted to have a business helping people and get them the results they were paying for. That mattered to me.

So it made sense to walk away. And be open to new opportunities that fit who I am a little bit better.

To provide my family with the financial portion that we needed (and we do need it).

To build relationships with other women.

To have fun.

And my favorite part: to possibly do it with my sister.

And I found it in Vegan hair care.

Hair care? Seriously?

Yes. To be honest, this is outside of my comfort zone. It requires being more social. And leaving my house, possibly. And actually talking to friends and hanging out over wine and coffee and not be a hermit. Or cling to staying indoors.

But the opportunity is huge. And honestly……it is just shampoo. That’s it. It doesn’t require people to change their habits or behavior or force them to adjust their budget to add something they have never had before. It is just fun. It is just shampoo.

I have been using it on myself and my family the last couple of weeks, and I can say it had made a difference in my own hair. It feels so much cleaner and more manageable. But that is all I will tell you.

Because this isn’t really about my old business or my new business.

It is about being okay with walking away from something that was good in your life, but realizing it may not fit what you need anymore, and being brave to pursue or open to something new. That can be anything in life.

Just as many of us will leave good jobs for greater ones, for a myriad of reasons, it is the same with everything else.

We pray. We weigh the pros and cons. We try. We fail. We win. We learn. We grow. That is how it goes.

So, if you are stuck spinning your wheels, and you know something needs to change, but you aren’t sure how….be open. Be praying. Be brave. Try. Fail. Then try again.

And be okay with walking away from good to get to Great.

It Is Okay

I am going to talk about something that makes the Christian community incredibly uncomfortable.

It is okay to want to use an opportunity to create a better financial future for your family.

It is okay to go towards your dreams.

It is okay to own a business and want to make money.

It is also wise to remember, as we work towards building a financial future for our family and even working towards making dreams come true, that when much is given, much is expected.

So if you are fortunate to build wealth (and honestly, that looks different for all of us. You define success.) much will be expected of you.

It doesn’t mean you are not kingdom minded if you are rich. Or become rich. Or have a successful business.

I talk to many wives and mamas who feel crushed under the weight of financial stress. Unless you understand the feeling of not knowing how you will pay for your groceries, pay for needs in your home, pay bills, do not assume that the woman you see working her business daily is not Kingdom minded. When a woman wants to stop fighting with her spouse about money, and is willing to do something about it, that is kingdom minded.

She is fighting for her family. That is kingdom minded. That is kingdom impact. Because she realizes that providing for the needs of her family and her household is how she will encourage those in her care to grow, trust, share, show compassion, have faith, and more.

Totally put this devotional on my Christmas list.

I have been praying a great deal about what I want to cultivate for my family. As we remain in transition, it is getting harder. And to be 100% honest with you, I am tired of it. But that is what happens when things are hard. You go through a multitude of emotions and feelings. And that is okay.

But I have made some big decisions lately, decisions that I will share later in the week, but I am confident that it will be better for my family and better for me and for my gift mix and abilities.

I am scared as heck, but it seems the word that has been repeated over and over again in my heart is “Brave.”

Brave will be my personal word for 2018. Still praying over our family one. But Brave is mine. Because I will have to be.

To do new things.

To face new challenges.

To let go of what is good and go for great.

That takes bravery.

So if you, sister friend, are sitting behind your screen critical of your friend or the mama who seems to be working toward wealth and you feel the need to judge why, take a moment to shoot her a message and ask about her story. You might be surprised.

And to you, sister friend, who is working so hard on your job or your business to provide something different for your family, keep going. Keep Him first. Pray for your business/job and remember that with much given, much is expected.

Be a Size You,

Team Work Makes Dreams Come True

Photo via Success

Team Be a Size You hit a major milestone in our mission to help end the trend of obesity and help others live healthier lives.

We hit 3 Star Diamond. What does that mean? It means that at least 3 of my teammates have reached the highest rank they can achieve in their business: a Diamond Coach. It is not easy to reach this level because it takes effort, sacrifice, a willingness to work hard and lead others towards being successful in their own businesses. You can’t have a selfish attitude when you are leading a team. These ladies worked hard and they earned the success!

I love this business because it truly is a team effort. When my leaders succeed, I succeed. Team Be a Size You would be nothing without the incredible group of women (and a few good men) who serve others in health and love people where they are at. The bonuses, income, vacations and incentives are all extra. We get a front row seat into the lives of people who want live healthier lives and live their lives to the fullest. What a blessing that is!

I am opening up spots for those to join Team Be a Size You. What are the qualification? You don’t have to look like a fitness model or be a health and fitness expert, but you must be a motivated, joy filled  individual who desires to help others and serve others.

If you would like to see if our team would be a good fit for you and learn more about what we do as Beachbody Coaches, fill out the application to qualify for a chat with me. I want to hear about your goals and see if we can be partners in health together. Stay tuned to the blog this week for more sneak peeks into our Team and what we do! I can’t wait to welcome you to our team!

Be a Size You,

Live a Life By Design

Team Fuel Opportunity call

What is it that you dream of doing during your lifetime, but you feel limited because of:

*Your story

*Your health

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to do something big with my life.  Due to my love of performance and the stage, I naturally envisioned myself becoming a world class performer, and therefore gaining influence, power, wealth, and accolades.

That was my something big when I was a little girl. Then, I got married and had two children with this incredible man. My dreams shifted.

I now have a mission in my heart to minister to women from all walks of life to Be a Size You. To realize, deep down inside of themselves, that they are of incredible worth. That what they see in the mirror does not determine their destiny or about how much God loves them. Because He loves us infinitely more than we could ever imagine.

I want to spread a message of hope.  That we can trust the God because He is good. And that He has given each of us special gifts: natural gifts from birth and spiritual gifts upon our confession of faith in Christ, to do an immeasurable amount of good.

That we can bless others with our stories. That we can see miracles beyond belief.

That we can weave a tale of love, hope, passion, ministry, faith, just by choosing to do our something big.

One of the main reasons I chose to become a Beachbody Coach was because I wanted to make my ministry of Be a Size you possible.  With a husband who works hard in ministry, but his paycheck does not reflect his hours or his effort, we were limited. I wanted to help my family.  I wanted to no longer experience stress every time we put gas in our car, or went to the grocery store, about whether or not we would have enough to pay bills.

I wanted to pour into the ministry of Be a Size You so that more women can hear a message of hope, instead them constantly hearing that they weren’t good enough because they didn’t look like the girl on the cover of a health and fitness magazine.

I wanted to be able to give abundantly more to organizations that we care about, so that they could continue their important work of helping those in need.

So now I ask you, what life, if all of those factors listed above didn’t exist, would you design for yourself, for your family, for your dreams?

I invite you to hear my story, and all about my team and what we truly do as Coaches.  I ask that you give an hour of your time to hear my heart as I share why I love this company, why I choose to do what I do, and how you can be a part of our mission to help others and live a life by design.

You can apply here if you are interested in learning more about Team Fuel and about my upcoming webinar. I would love to have you as my very special guest that day!
