My Life Changed When……

I finally had enough of not feeling good in my skin.

I wanted to develop healthy habits, but I wanted to do it the right way. Problem was, I didn’t really know what the “right way” was or meant or how to go about it.

I spent a lot of money and time on things that gave a false hope. Supplements couldn’t change my life….my new habits had to.

That meant that I had to move my body and build stronger muscles and workout.

That meant that I had to learn more about quality nutrition. Not just focus on low calorie, but on REAL food that gave my body what it needed to function at its most optimal.

It meant I had to say no to the things I enjoyed previously because they no longer served me in my pursuit of my goals. It meant being okay with being uncomfortable because that was how change was going to happen. I couldn’t take the easy way out.

Beachbody changed my life and helped me develop habits that I lacked. It gave me the confidence to finish a 21 day, 30 day, 60 day, or even a 90 day program because all I had to do was follow the workout calendar, get off my butt and push play.

Beachbody changed my life in that it wasn’t just about working out, but fueling our bodies. It meant following the nutrition guide that came with my program because it was designed to help me succeed. I wasn’t smarter than the program. I let the experts help me where I couldn’t help myself.

Beachbody changed my life in that it provided incredible high quality nutrition, Shakeology, meant to give me one nutrient dense and brainless meal a day, so that I could stay with my goals even as a busy mama and wife. It didn’t replace healthy eating and living, it enhanced it. It expedited my results and help me cut my habit of snacking.

Beachbody changed my life in the fact that I have a HUGE community of women who want the same thing: healthier lives. We support each other. Push each other. Celebrate each other. Some of us have taken on the roles as coaches to help other women do the same thing……encourage women to live healthier and fuller lives.

Beachbody hasn’t been instant gratification. It is hard work and a willingness to surrender to the process in order to reach a certain results. There is no room for know it alls and for those who aren’t willing to work for what they want. The incredible value that Beachbody has provided me for life (with a virtual gym in my living room with a few thousand dollars worth of workouts…no matter where I go?!) is far greater than anything else out there.

I don’t say that with arrogance. I say that with confidence. Because I am literally living proof of what can be achieved if we are willing to work for it.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work that hard.

If you are ready to finally take action on your health, I would love to help you 1:1 in October and provide the tools I have successfully used so you reach your goals.

Be Brave Enough to Try

What have you always wanted to do, but thought you couldn’t do it because you had never done it before and you were afraid you would be bad at it?

I thought I would throw this out there to the universe, because, well, why not?!

I have always wanted to have my own clothing boutique.

Don’t worry, I am not making a major announcement, at least not today, but I thought I would be a good thing to chat about today. How many times are we told to not pursue something simply because we have never done it before or we don’t know how to do it.

“Everything is figureoutable”-Gary Vaynerchuk

I was talking to my husband about this the other night, how we have so much information and education and tools at our fingertips that literally, if we wanted to learn more about something, we could just GOOGLE it.

You can google how to start a business selling your own crafts out of your bedroom.

How to create a YouTube channel that provides incredible value and content.

Even how to make money on your blog just by writing and being able to direct people where to buy a product or tool.

You can even begin impactful and meaningful non-profits or organizations or ministries, simply by being willing to educate yourself and take those first action steps to be bad at it, so that you can learn and grow and be better.

Why is this idea of not doing something simply because we don’t know how or have never done it before so powerful, so crippling? Why do we allow it to control our decisions or dreams?

I am not saying we should not seek advice or wise counsel. The bible even tells us that seeking wise counsel from wise individuals is for our benefit.

And truthfully, not everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur. It takes work and patience and diligence and a willingness to fail sometimes.  Most people are more comfortable with security and having a 9-5 job, because they believe that is stable (which I don’t think it actually is, but that is my personal opinion, not fact.)

I love this quote about being brave enough to try something new. Of course you are not going to know all the answers and you may mess up a bit. Of course it is going to feel awkward and uncertain and even a bit scary.

But I think that is the beauty of it, really. You learn something new about yourself and you get to grow and become better.  We all want to become better. But in order to do that, you have to make attempts at doing things you weren’t familiar with.

Choose to grow, sister friend!

What are some things you have always wanted to do, but too afraid to because you didn’t know much about it?

Friday Favorites Roundup

Y’all, this is NOT my outfit for today. This was  back around LAST FALL/WINTER.  It is still around eighty degrees in Southern California and the weather doesn’t look to be dropping anytime soon. Which makes this Fall loving gal really sad.

Come on, California! Get with it!

In the meantime, I am dreaming of sweaters, booties, warm and cozy things for your home, and soups to make at home.

First, who watched last week’s UCLA game against Texas A&M? I thought for sure I would have to comfort my Bruin loving husband because it did not look good. That comeback game was one for the books because even I was cheering (and I am a USC fan!!!)  I love games like that!! So good!

Now for my favorites for this week.

Since Fall is slowly happening, and for some of you, the transition into cooler weather is already happening in your area, I have been browsing some of my favorite sites for pretty Fall worthy items to add to my wardrobe.  I am always on the lookout for sweaters, duster cardigans, jeans, and booties, as well as some accessories.  A lot of these are on sale as well, so if you are able, snag a few of the items you have been eying before the price goes up again!

When it comes to my home, I love switching out pillows to match the seasons.  One of my favorite shops happens to be Linen and Ivory. They have such cute merchandise so if you are looking for something festive, you definitely should check this small business out.
I love this pillow
And this one
Name that movie!!!  It is one of my favorites for Halloween. My sisters and I have always wanted to dress up as the Sanderson Sisters for Halloween. I call dibs on Winifred Sanderson.
There are a ton of beautiful pieces, so please go check them out!!!  I have these two Pillow covers currently in my home:
And Candles? Yes, we need fall scented candles in our home! Pronto!
My favorite candle scent is Marshmallow Fireside from Bath and Body Works. You guys. YAAAASSSS!
Bath and Body Works is having a special right now on these candles (regularly $24.50) but you get them for $12.50 each when you buy 2 or more.  Do it. I always stock up on my favorite scents when the three wick candles go on sale. I love having them burn in my home, especially when the weather cools down and when I am reading….or just anytime really. I don’t need permission to light a candle!
I am also dreaming of delicious soups to make during Fall/Winter months that are relatively easy, yet delicious and healthy and satisfying.  That is super important to me.
Here are some soup recipes that have caught my eye recently and I am going to make in the coming weeks:
That is all I have for today.  What are you loving this week?  If you don’t already, follow me on Insta to see what I am up to daily!
Be a Size You,

Don’t Show Off-Just Show Up tank from Cross Training Couture

I have entered a new season of parenting, and to be honest, while I was a little nervous…I wasn’t exactly terrified of the pre-teens.

I have been blessed with a daughter who is a true joy.  She is definitely coming into her own when it comes to her growing into who she is. And with every sweet precious girl, a little bit of sass is apparent (she is her mother’s daughter!)

But I can’t complain about her.  When she was a precious babe, I would hear from so many well meaning parents who would tell me to just wait until she became a teenager. Just wait. Then I would want to pull my hair out. Then I would agonize over having a daughter.

But, and perhaps this is me being naïve, I don’t think we are in for hard years with our daughter.  Our precious Madi.  I don’t mean that we are going to go through life bump free. But I don’t think that when she becomes a teenager, life will suddenly become terrible with her.

Being the momma of a daughter is special.  Some of us are blessed to have more than one daughter.  My daddy had three girls who looked up to him and thought the world of him. Our Daddy was our first knight in shining armor. He was our hero.  Madi looks at her daddy and sees a man who loves her unconditionally. The bar is set really high for the special young man who will one day love our daughter and marry her. I am praying for him specifically. I can’t wait for that young man to one day join our family.

But for now, our daughter is ours.  She is being raised in our household.  We are striving to teach her His word. To cling to what is good. To love others and to serve God with her whole heart and mind and body.

Madi is entering a stage and age groups where the need for attention is real. Showing off, being front and center, being noticed, wanting to be valued…those are real messages that will be vying for my daughter’s attention and for her heart.

So, as her momma, who understands the pull of the world and whose own heart has been pulled and affected, I want her to cling to this:

“That according to the riches of his glory He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith-that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19 ESV

I want her to know who she is and to WHO she belongs to.

My daughter is also an athlete. The shirt she is wearing tonight says “Don’t show off-Just Show Up.”

In the fitness world, it is easy to see how that applies.  We show up each day for our workouts.  We don’t show off our awesome muscles just because we want to look good. If it is a part of our life, we do it daily, regardless.

As we walk it out with Jesus, we need to show up daily.  Christianity is not a cool club to belong to.  My daughter will soon see from some of those who don’t share her beliefs that being a Christ follower isn’t so easy.  It takes showing up.

I want my daughter ultimately to realize that she doesn’t need to show off in order to gain anyone’s love or approval.  With so many things that will be vying for her attention and heart, I want her to instead focus on showing up in the things that matter.

*Show up in love and compassion for her friends that are in need of it, even if she is without words.

*Show up each day in His word, so that she may be empowered by His Holy Spirit and to be guided by Him when she faces decisions she is unsure about.

*Show up in offering grace, even when others withhold it, for God did not withhold His own son from us.

*Show up daily by offering hope found only in Jesus.

*Show up daily as a friend. As a Daughter. As a princess of the King.

She doesn’t need to compete or show off in order to prove how valuable she is. God loves my precious daughter.  He loves her more than I do.  He wants good for her, He wants to give good gifts to her more than I do.

My job is not to make her life pleasurable and happy. Happy is a by-product.  My job as her mother is to raise her to walk with the King and to love Him with her whole heart, mind and soul. That will take the rest of her life, and she will most definitely falter some moments. But grace upon grace and the willingness to run towards Him even in failure, she will learn and grow to fall more in love with Him and fulfill His will.

I can’t wait to see what God does in the life of my beautiful daughter.

Be a Size You,

Introducing Daily Sunshine-The Nutrition Game Changer for Your Kids

Raise your hands if your kids are PERFECT and eat all of their fruits and veggies without complaining!!!

There is probably one, maybe two people who could raise their hand (honestly…you can’t fool us!) because let’s face it: Kids can be picky.

We do our best to introduce them to good foods that we know are tasty and really good for their growing bodies, but it does take time for them to accept it.  Green colored foods just don’t look as appetizing as beige or candy colored.

I know. I hear you. I am right there with you!

I get asked regularly if Shakeology is good for kids. The short answer is yes, but we also say that it really depends on the kid AND their needs.  One big concern many parents have is that Shakeology, although made with gluten free ingredients, it is not certified gluten free and they were concerned about other possible allergen and sensitivities. In short, we are willing to give the best to our kids!!!!!!  Maybe not to ourselves, but to our kids, we will not spare giving them what they need.

Welcome Daily Sunshine.

Daily Sunshine was specifically created with the nutritional needs of kids in mind. It was made for picky kids and for pickier parents.  It has the nutrition that our kids need to help support their constantly growing bodies. As parents, this is important to us.  If you have a child who struggles with eating their veggies, then you can be sure their bodies are not getting what they need, so this is FOR YOUR CHILD!

Daily Sunshine comes in two flavors: Chocolate and Strawberry Banana. Each flavor is made with organic fruits and vegetables, organic pea protein, and healthy fats, and has 3 grams of fiber, probiotics, Vitamins C& E, calcium, and vitamin D.  I love that Daily Sunshine is soy-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and non- GMO, and it contains no artificial flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives.

How do I make Daily Sunshine?

It is so easy! All you need is 1 scoop or packet of your choice flavor and 8 oz of water (or your choice milk if you would like to boost the calorie intake a bit, which with water is 120 calories). It is a high quality snack for your kids and guess what….for you too!!!!

I will advise that this is NOT a meal replacement.  For children and their growing bodies, good quality calories count right now, as they are still growing. Unless your child is under the care of their pediatrician and need to be on a special diet or calorie cutting due to health issues associated with their weight, simply treat Daily Sunshine as a highly nutritious snack.

Here is a great video about Daily Sunshine from the creator, Isabelle Daikler:

My kids also tested for themselves.  I mixed it up for them: Madi drank Strawberry Banana and Sean drank Chocolate.  I only mixed it with water.  While they were doing their homework, I asked them to taste test my new snack option that I had for them.  These are their initial reactions.

*Disclosure: Sean initially said he liked Chocolate, but after he drank it a little more, he did comment that he would like his made next time with milk.  Just so you know! That is his honest opinion.  Today, he just asked for Daily Sunshine for a snack with his homework, which means he does like it and I am happy to make it for him!

What is the difference between Daily Sunshine and Shakeology?

Daily Sunshine provides key nutrients in a simple yet healthy formula designed for young, growing bodies.  Shakeology focuses on providing an array of exotic superfoods, adaptogens, prebiotics, digestive enzymes, and other important nutrients for adult bodies.  While they both have unique ingredients, Daily Sunshine and Shakeology contain some overlapping essential ingredients, but at different levels to suit nutritional needs of kids and adults.

Can I drink both Daily Sunshine and Shakeology?

Yes!!  If you are already consuming Shakeology as part of your nutrition plan, simply use Daily Sunshine as a really simple yet nutritious snack in between meals.

You can order Daily Sunshine here, Try a sampler pack here, and get a Daily Shaker cup here!

Of course, if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to let me know! I would love to share more with you and help you in any way possible.

Let’s Help Those in Texas

Heartbreaking, isn’t it? I don’t even think those words adequately describe the devastation we are all seeing on our television screens and social media pages.

The loss that those in Texas and in the path of Harvey has experienced is unbelievable. For those of us watching from the sidelines, I am sure you feel as helpless as I do. Because we all want to help in some way.

If you haven’t been privy to any specific information regarding the devastation and the numbers, here are the details (via)

*39 Lives have been lost so far, and more than 1 Million people have had to evacuate their homes.

*More than 20 Trillion gallons of rain fell across Texas and Louisiana.

*125 Billion needed in Federal relief money for the State. Texas Governor Greg Abbot said that his state will need relief money “far in excess” of that total. Can you imagine?!!

*80% of Texans don’t have flood insurance.

*185,145 homes estimated to be damaged or destroyed by Harvey.

*364,000 people have reportedly registered for assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

*42,399 people in shelters, according to the Texas Governor.

I didn’t even give you the whole list. Be sure to check out the source linked above for more details.

You guys.  This is mind blowing. For those of us who want to do something, know that whether you are able to give a little or a lot, any amount will help.

Because there are evil people who will take advantage of the generosity of others in order to benefit themselves, if you are looking to give in any way, here are some legitimate organizations that are actually contributing to the needs of those in Texas and surrounding areas. They have need. Thieves do not. It is okay to take some time to do research so that you can have confidence that your donation will go to relief and recovery efforts.

*Charity Navigator: A non profit site that is designed to help you find legitimate organizations that are providing relief efforts. You can also see information on how much they give for and total percentages of proceeds given. So if you need some time to research before you choose, go there first.

*JJ Watt Houston Flood Relief Fund: This one is getting a lot of attention on the media and social media thanks to Houston Texans Defensive End JJ Watt.  Because of the media attention, there will definitely be a demand for accountability and honesty about where all donations are going.

*Houston SPCA: For animals that had to be left behind or got lost or are in danger due to the floods. Because of space limitations in shelters and even hotels that are providing relief, many pets weren’t able to accompany their owners.  So if you are an animal lover and want to help in any way, they are local and a great resource!

Also, If you are concerned and want to help, but don’t have the financial means to or you want to give something tangible, many organizations are asking for clothes, underwear, sanitary items, and more. Imagine having to leave your home with only the clothes on your back or in a small bag and losing everything. Think about all that we may take for granted and go through your closet for gently used items (except underwear) or even brand new items that you know can be used by men, women and children who are without.

Together, whether with a little or a lot, we can do much for our friends in Texas.

With so much animosity and hatred and anger in our country right now, one thing this tragedy has shown us is that when disaster strikes, we can come together and love each other and do good.

Let’s be the good. Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Be a Size You,

Coach of the Week: Michelle Bradley

Meet Team Be a Size You Coach of the Week: My friend Michelle Bradley.

She and I go back a long time.  I met her at church after I competed in a local pageant with one of her best friends and she just walked up to me and said,

“Didn’t you compete in the Miss Diamond Bar pageant with Kelly? I was there. Hi, I’m her friend, Michelle.”

And the three of us became besties!  No joke!  Some of my favorite memories in my twenties have the three of us in them because we loved Jesus and we were a little nuts. Ha!!  Oh, and Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s breakup broke our hearts but that didn’t stop us from busting out all the songs full blast in either Michelle’s VW Jetta or my Silver Mustang or Kelly’s Civic (We are basic white girls. hahahaha!)

Michelle joined my team two years ago, and honestly, this was after she told me no several times prior.  She just didn’t think she had what it took to be an online health coach.  And to be fair, most people have those objections.

So when she finally decided to jump on board, I was so excited.

She is the epitome of someone who fights for her Why.

Michelle’s Mom died of Breast Cancer when she was a senior in high school. Imagine that. For those of you who have lost a parent, either recently or at a very young age, it is traumatizing and heart breaking.  You never get over it, but you learn to live without a person daily in your life.  That is so hard.

Michelle fights for her health daily.  She doubts herself often, which is where I come in and tell her to knock that off. That she can do this. That she is worth the effort. That people that follow her do gain incredible value from her story telling and from her sharing her heart with them.

When she gives it her all, she kills it.

The last several week, she has been following an intense endurance program to the T. The workouts and the nutrition plan. She hasn’t cheated.  She hasn’t given up on herself. She is fighting daily because her WHY is bigger than this whole fitness thing is.

She wants to be around as long as she can, Lord willing, for her kids. She wants to prevent disease, which runs in her family, as much as she can so prayerfully she can spare her children from experiencing the heartbreak of losing their mama like she did.  She knows that she cannot keep it from happening if it will happen, but she refuses to allow “genetics” dictate her future.

So she pushes play. And she keeps fighting.  She chooses to change her life one day at a time.  She fights for those kids. For her husband.

That is a Coach. That is what we do.

Michelle is also incredibly loyal and is always in your corner. You want a true cheerleader, confidant, friend, supporter? Michelle is that woman you want on your team.  She is sensitive and will hear your concerns, and also love you with the truth.  I am so thankful that she is on my team, that we get to do this business of making women better, healthier, live longer, and fight for their families.

If you don’t already, be sure to follow Michelle on Social Media: @michellebradly05 .  Be inspired by her and go join the movement.

Congratulations Michelle! You deserve this!

Be a Size You,

Tiffany Harper

Friday Favorites Roundup: Game Day Food!

This photo has nothing to do with College game day or tailgating…but isn’t Madi so precious?

Okay people, did you know that Saturday, September 2nd is National Tailgating Day?

Yes. Yes it really is. And it is also National College Colors Day. But really, the only thing any of us can think about, at least those of us who LOVE college football, is that it is back and we are so ready to eat our way through the game day season!!!!

Personally, my family watches more college football than NFL. But I think this post will apply to any sport, because today we are talking about Game Day food!

My favorite subject.

I am rounding out several of my favorite recipes from my favorite food bloggers so you can head to the grocery story today and make some goodies for your families.

Before I go on, if you need a College Football Game schedule because (for some crazy reason!) you don’t already have it printed out, Here you go.  Some games kicked off Thursday.

Can you tell I am excited!!!!

Okay, now for the food.  These are my favorite items to have on hand. I basically like to follow a couple of rules:

*Have some protein

*Plenty of beverages

*Chips (A variety. My hubby will not touch gluten free chips. He wants Lay’s. I tried)

*Easy to whip appetizers that are pop in your mouth friendly and require not a whole lot of effort.

For those of you who will be tailgating, you probably have your own rules that you like to add because you will normally be somewhere for several hours.

Here are some ideas for you to check out:

*Easy Chicken Wings from Balanced Bites

* Guacamole (No recipe needed although this one is great from Balanced Bites)

*Deviled Eggs by Primal Palate

*Bacon Wrapped Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Jalapenos by PaleOMG

* Slow Cooker Babacoa by Fed and Fit ( I made the Barbacoa this past week and it was a huge success!! Instead of making Jicama tacos though, I chose to use Almond Flour Tortillas from Siete Foods . Still incredibly delicious!!!)

*Oven Fries by Balanced Bites

*Buffalo Chicken Dip by Living Loving Paleo

*Paleo Ranch Dressing by Nom Nom Paleo  (Or grab some yummy dressings from Tessemae’s or Primal Kitchen.

And plenty of your favorite Veggies, Chips (I prefer Kettle Chips Jalapeno flavor or Siete Foods Lime flavored Tortilla chips.

I also have plenty of water and other drinks on hand for the family because we don’t just root for our team, we watch all the dang games that day.  We LOVE College Football!

There you have it. It is a small list, but if you are having a gathering at home for your family or even a few people, this should be good. If you don’t want to cook it all, and who does, have your friend bring some over!  Share the load.

I want to see your game day photos!

Who are you all rooting for? Our house is a  house divided.  USC vs UCLA over here in the Harper household!!! Let’s go Trojans! Fight on!

Be a Size You,

She Laughs at the Time to Come

Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. Proverbs 31:25

We have a prayer board in our home, and a tiny tin bucket carrying random scraps of paper so that we can easily write out the requests laid on our hearts and for our friends and family.  It is on display where can see it regularly, to remind us to bring those very requests to God.

One particular prayer caught my eye.

It was written by my daughter Madi.

Most of you know that we are in a season of in between.  Waiting. Dan doing random jobs here and there but nothing consistent.  I, myself, am still working at home in order to contribute to providing for our family.  We say we are hopeful, but often times, I think I feel a little desperate and downright impatient.

On this particular day, I was really impatient. And angry. Anxious. Worried. Fretting over what is going to happen next month.  Striving to make things work, no matter how much God continued to provide for us.  I had been carrying this attitude of “if it is meant to be, it is up to me.”

I was living in deep fear and I was acting it out in all of my clawing and striving.

I glanced over at the prayer board and I saw a prayer written in bright green ink. All with misspelled words, but it didn’t matter at the moment.  My 11 year old wrote out a precious request to God for her Daddy.  To help him.  She didn’t care what the answer was. That God would just help him.

I am not usually a crier, but in my old age, that is rapidly changing. I cried because she did it right. She went to the only place she knew how in order to make things a little better.

And that was to her precious Lord.

In all of my stomping and whining and complaining and prideful striving, I didn’t pray nearly as earnest as her sweet prayer on a tiny white sheet of paper.  It was simple, to the point, and honest.  She clothed herself with armor and she activated it with prayer (read Ephesians 6:10-18)

My daughter taught me that while I was doing a good way (working to provide) I was not doing it the best way. I did not always go first to make my requests knows to God.  Or I would be so angry about the wait and so impatient while waiting for answers that I would skip it all together, as if that would show Him.

How gracious is He to remind me that His ways are better. And that he used an 11 year old to remind me? And that it was sweet and precious and gentle?  Sometimes our lessons as we walk it out with Him aren’t that sweet. They can be painful, but this one was not.

I showed a friend of mine Madi’s prayer, and she encouraged me, knowing the season we are in. Her words:

“I can’t help but think of how He used the last tough season to grow you, and I know this one will be the same.”

It was the encouragement I needed that moment to take me back to remember what He, the Lord has done in my life and in the life of my family.  Every season has its peaks and valleys, but He always uses it to grow us closer to Him and mold us to be more like Him. We will always be changed.

Will you clothe yourself in the strength and dignity of the Lord, knowing that He alone is bigger than whatever circumstance, wait, adventure you may find yourself in, and laugh at what is to come.

It may not be what you expected or even requested, but we can have faith that His promises are true and they are sure and we do not have to fear the future, even if it all looks bleak, your bank account is in the negative, no opportunities appearing on the horizon. He is bigger than all of it.

Be a Size You,

Do You Take Supplements Other Than Shakeology?

I actually get this question a lot.

And the answer is YES!  I do!

I would love to share with you what my hubby and I use on a regular basis in order to help us reach and maintain our health goals.

Beachbody Performance Energize

This is the Pre-workout I use the most, to be honest.  I challenge myself regularly to pretty intense workouts and this specific pre-workout gives me enough of the energy push without giving me the feeling that my body was exposed to crack.  I also really like that it is naturally flavored and doesn’t have any artificial sweeteners.  It only comes in Lemon Flavor but that doesn’t bother me one bit.   I know how hard Beachbody works to get the ingredients right and combine sport and science together to give us supplements that are effective and safe and not full of junk.  This one is legit!

Beachbody Performance Recover

Story time! So my husband has recently begun his own health and fitness journey and for the last 8 weeks, my man has been running, hitting the gym (he doesn’t enjoy working out at home, so he will head to our local gym and sweat it out.) or ride his bike.  Plus, he has been paying closer attention to what he is putting on his plate and I have been cooking more Paleolithic style meals for him to help him reach his goals. He has about 30 pounds to lose, and I am pretty sure he has already cut around 10, if not more.  He is working really hard! I am hoping he will allow me to take one photo of him during his journey so I can brag on him on the blog.

He personally loves the Beachbody Performance Recover in the Orange Flavor.  You guys, I am not kidding when I say that it tastes like an Orange Julius. Who remembers those from the mall? Do they still have those?  I used to get those all the time as a kid. It was how our parents bribed us when we had to do some shopping (although, I don’t think they needed to bribe me when it came to shopping. We all know how I feel about shopping. I LURVE it!)

The chocolate flavor is also really good and reminds me of a Wendy’s Chocolate Frosty. So delicious and refreshing, especially after an intense workout and you need something right away to refuel you.

Want to know something even more awesome? While the Beachbody Performance line is perfect for us average humans who are working on our fabulous health and fitness goals, it was designed for elite athletes in mind as well.

It is NSF certified, which means that it is formulated without any of the banned substances for athletes, which makes it safe for them to use without fear of something being found in their drug testing that they have to go through regularly.

The Beachbody Performance Line (Energize, Recover and Recharge) is the official Sports Nutrition Supplement of the Ironman North American Series.  You can check out this awesome press release here to learn more about this amazing partnership. So for those of you who are considering Ironman or any other elite sport, this is for you!

So there you have it! These supplements are what I use personally and I truly do stand behind them.  One of the things that I felt that Beachbody was lacking for the longest time was really good, performance based supplements.  So many people are intimidated in trying Shakeology, or flat out aren’t interested, but they do want quality protein and pre-workouts to help with their workouts.  I truly think these products are incredible and some of the best on the market!
