When You Hear God Clearly, But Still Find Yourself Hurt

God who answers prayer

Sees me in my need

Runs to my despair

Your promise I believe

That You Are, You Are, You Are God

God Who Answers Prayer by Elevation Worship 2009

There is no sugar coating it. I have been struggling. Emotionally and physically.

Yesterday, we attended church as a family for the first time in weeks. WEEKS.  A family that has served the better half of a decade in the local church suddenly finds themselves at a loss as to where to attend and worship.  We have mostly resorted to online services and reading bible stories, listening to worship music or even watching  Veggie Tales.

I tend to silently suffer in my emotions. Crying has always felt like a sign of weakness, like I am being a drama queen.  I don’t cry often, but when I do, it is not in front of others.  I can’t stand the attention or the questions from others who are concerned.  Questions like “Are you okay?” are so hard for me to answer.

Because yes, I am okay,  but just a little broken.

A little tired.

A little weary.

A lot over it.

Back in July, I blogged about how we were in the midst of waiting, as Dan felt God was calling him to Pastor a church.  That it was time for him to make the next step in his call in vocational ministry.

We are still waiting, and honestly, this all looks like a pipe dream.

It feels like maybe, we heard wrong.

When Dan didn’t get a position back in June, and then all the “Thanks but no thanks” started to roll in, it was very easy to question what we were doing.

What God was doing.

I felt hurt. What was wrong with us, that nobody wanted us to be a part of their church? And if I could be brutally honest, I began to feel a little bit of anger towards those in leadership at those churches.  It’s an ugly feeling, but I felt it.

It was also easy to question what we did wrong. What questions didn’t we answer correctly? What did I post on social media that they saw and didn’t like and made a judgement about us? So many questions, and we had no answers.

We still have no answers, except to press on.

Perhaps in the meantime, vocational ministry is a no for us.  So we will do other things. We will serve His church.  We will find a church to call home.  I will still work at home with my hands for my family. Dan will work as well….to do what he can do take care of his little family that God has given him to lead.

“And the Lord will guide you continually

and satisfy your desire in scorched places

and make your bones strong;

and you shall be like a watered garden,

like a spring of water,

whose waters do not fail.” Isaiah 58:11

Sister friends, have you been there? Do you feel as though you have heard God clearly, but yet you find yourself in a place you didn’t expect?

Are you weary of waiting? Does resentment and hurt bubble up inside of you, daring to pour out its devastation and wrath to whoever or whatever crosses its path? Or do just feel tired and lack joy?

I am there with you.  I get it.  As tiring and long as this walk is, as often as we try to put on our brave face and smile through it, as much as we hate complaining….let us also walk in confidence that God hears us, sees us, and cares for us.

Let us cling to promises in His word, even if we have to read them with tight fists and tear-filled eyes.  Even when we literally cannot find the words to utter in prayer, praise Him for the fact that He knows our heart before we speak it out loud.

Let us remember that when all of this is over, we will be like a spring of water. We will be renewed and restored.  We have hope.

Praying for those of you in the trenches and in the desert, sister friends.

Team Be a Size You is Joining Forces With The U.K.

I am so excited about what is about to happen for those of us whose passion is to help as many people as possible live healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives.

To not only fulfill their health and fitness goals and feel good in their skin, but to also achieve their business dreams.  If they have been dreaming about a different financial future for their family, the opportunity (which also equals work!) is there for them.

And for my U.K. Sisters, it is now available for you!!!

My vision for Be a Size You, this message of Be a Size You, has always been to strengthen our bodies to serve others better.  It has never been about looking like a one size fits all version of health.  I have encountered so many beautiful women in my life who have been encouraged and who look nothing like me, take their fitness journey’s to the next level and truly reach total and whole health.  I don’t think that message has to be limited to just the wonderful women of US, and Canada, but to the U.K. as well.

I am so excited that it is finally upon us and we get to invite you, you gorgeous and hope filled women across the pond, to join us in the movement of living well, helping others do the same, and building a successful business that can bless your family and make your dreams come true.

Here is why we want you to join us (and join Team Be a Size You!)

The U.K. has a similar health crisis, in where there are many individuals who are in need of hope and motivation and support in their health and fitness goals. You get to be on the front lines of helping those individuals with Beachbody’s fitness programs and Shakeology in order to support their nutrition and fitness.

I am a Lifetime Three Star Diamond Coach and have been with Team Beachbody for six years. What that means is I am a leader in this company and I have developed leaders on my team who are doing as I do: helping people with their goals and developing other leaders within their teams.  In these six years, I have watched it grow and develop and create better training and tools for us coaches so that we can truly be successful in growing our businesses and help people get healthier. Beachbody has the best formula in order to help combat the health crisis we find ourselves and our loved ones in:

Fitness + Nutrition + Support = Success

You cannot transform without those steps. You might have a little success if you break the formula apart, but you won’t experience all of what you are hoping for. Why settle for less?  Go for it!

I have always dreamed of being a part of something bigger than me.  Bigger than all of us.  We may not be able to save every person, but we can certainly work together to try.

I want to dream bigger and pursuit incredible things.  I want to partner with women who truly want to learn, grow, serve, and be better.

I want the message of Be a Size You to ring loud and clear all over the world.  That they are strong, capable, worthy, and can achieve incredible things if they are willing to work for it.

As your coach and guide, you get to be the hero in your own story. I will help you with everything you need to know in order to create a successful business of your own, right there in your living room.

You can learn more about this incredible opportunity, you can go here so that you can be sent more information prior to our launch: Team Beachbody U.K.

To join my team and hear our stories of how we got started and why Team Beachbody has changed our lives, please fill out this questionnaire so that I can get to know you better and get you plugged into a private group to hear more about what we do and why we want you to join us! No pressure at all!

Introducing 1:1 With Tiff

I am so excited to introduce this new feature to you guys with my online health coaching.

Honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t really offer it before, although it has always been available. But, if you don’t know that it is available, you won’t ask right?

How many of you want to get healthier or learn to exercise effectively and eat healthier meals and maintain your lifestyle for life BUT you are intimidated or HATE challenge groups.

Girlfriend, I get it.  Listen up, because this is specifically for you.

I am now offering 1:1 With Tiff: A more customized approach to your health and fitness goals.

To apply, click above.

What does this mean?

It means you will have 1:1 access to me as your personal virtual coach. You don’t have to leave the comfort of your home in order to work on your health and fitness routine. You will have one free consultation with me, and we will go over your application together and based on what you share with me and how long you want to work with me, I will make recommendations on your fitness program and nutritional supplements.  You won’t be forced to buy a challenge pack, but you will be required to invest in a plan in order to receive one on one attention from me.  If I am going to invest my time to help you reach your goals, I need to know that you are wanting to reach them and are willing to do what is necessary.

How long do I have to commit?

That is up to you!  We can connect for 1 week or we can connect for 30 days.  If you want to go longer than 30 days, then we can chat more about what that looks like for you and what you will need.  We can chat via FaceTime or Zoom and it will be you and me.  You won’t have to post your results to a group or social media unless you want to.  You will need to track with me, though, so be ready to answer and show me that food journal because my job is to keep YOU accountable to what YOU want.

What is all Included?

Every 1:1 session will have a fitness program to follow and a nutrition guide. I will also recommend nutritional supplements either for nutrient purposes or performance purposes depending on what you share with me in your consultation.  Those recommendations will be in order to maximize your efforts and expedite your results, because I know you will want results.

How long do I have to sign up?

I am only taking 5 spots each month, so once those 5 spots are filled, you will be put on a waitlist  for the next opening.  This is to ensure that I give my best to those who have committed to their journey with me and that I give my best to my family.  This takes time, so I want to give my best.

Have more questions or want to possibly be a part of my first group of 1:1’s?  You will need to apply, and then I will reach out to you to have your first FREE consultation. I am excited to work with you and help you reach your health and fitness goals!

Get Your Meal Prep On, Mama!

Hi Sister Mama Friends!

I wanted to share with you something I ordered today that I think would help a lot of you when it comes to prepping your meals or even prepping lunch/dinner for your family.

If you are constantly on the go and needing to pack your lunch, or you have active kids and your family is regularly out of the house each week thanks to events, games, activities and you want to avoid eating out every day, these will be for you!

I found them over at Jane and there are a couple of deals available for you to choose from.  One of them ends today I believe (the 2-container set), but the other is until Friday.

1-Compartment Food Containers / Set of 10

2-Compartment Food Containers / Set of 10

They each come in packs of ten and they are inexpensive, BPA Free, Dishwasher safe, Microwave safe and they are great for packing in lunches or meal prepping for an entire week.

I just purchased both the 2 compartment and the single compartment myself because I swear it feels like we are never home to eat at the table. I would prefer to have everyone home at a certain time to eat together, but right now, that is not our reality.

I also don’t want to eat out every single night as that is just not good on the wallet or on our overall health.  So investing in these tools seems like a pretty sweet deal to me!

Would love to hear your thoughts! Have you purchased these containers?  Do you love them?

Be a Size You,

Tiffany

I Can No Longer Keep Silent

“He has told you, O man, what is good;

and what does the Lord require of you

but to do justice, and to love kindness,

and to walk humbly with your God?”

Micah 7:8

I don’t often blog in an emotional state, because that often means I go unfiltered and I tend to lose my cool a little bit.  I have to be honest here, though.  I am highly upset.  I am mad. I am heartbroken over the evil that transpired in Vegas and the lives that were lost and the people who are suffering because of this.

I am angry and I have had enough.

I know so many of you are feeling the same way.

When I first saw all of the tweets and posts about gun control and 2nd amendment rights  that came up immediately in the hours after news broke, at first, I was upset about it.  I told myself that “now isn’t the time to bring it up.”

But when will it be time?  When can we bring up that something isn’t right?  Something is wrong with us.  There is evil widespread here and we as human beings can no longer have a meaningful conversation about this very topic (and many others) without resorting to name calling. Whether we are called a racist or a snowflake, that is what it has come down to. We are not capable of listening to each other about issues that we as human beings should care about.

Listen up, people are dead right now. Dead. From a man who had a weapon that could mow down people in rapid fury.  Screw your rights as of this moment.  People are dead.

When Sandy Hook happened, I couldn’t catch my breath. First graders murdered in their classrooms. Mamas having to bury their babies because of one person. I had a first grader at that time.  I feared, and still do, sending my children to school.  And still we kept hearing about “our rights to own a gun!” Yet, we are also the first ones to yell out “All Lives Matter” and go on and on about being pro-life.

You are not listening. I am as pro 2nd amendment as they come. My family is in law enforcement. I have been informed about gun safety and laws, I understand it is a weapon that can be used for evil, but for most Americans, it is for personal protection.  I am pro-life.  I am a Christian.

I am also for justice.  And I see no justice for those who are dead when there are so many of us who don’t believe in having a real conversation about this issue simply because we don’t think it will work. Or insert whatever excuse you have heard or said.

It needs to be addressed.

Yes, it is a mental health issue.

Yes, it is a gun control/legislation issue.

Yes, it is a heart issue.

We talk. We listen. We come up with ideas and plans and laws to make a difference. Stop coming at each other with “stricter gun laws won’t work” or “All gun owners are evil.” That doesn’t help the conversation. We need to listen. If someone has an opinion about this, ask them, without an attitude or an edge, as to what their idea may be. Don’t come at them with they are wrong, or stupid, or if the idea is stupid. They are trying. We want to try. We want to fix this. We are tired of seeing people we love die because of this.

I don’t have all the answers. I know that we can come up with some sort of solution. Here is what I am learning, though. The government is always going to fight for what they want. Either side, it doesn’t matter. They are far more concerned with their political agenda than they are with us. Democrat, Republican, it doesn’t matter. They want to win.

That is where you and I, the ones who vote, come in.  Start talking. Start sending letters to congressmen and women. Call them. Start showing up in meetings.  Start connecting with your neighbors, even those with a different political and religious view than yours and start coming up with ways to make this world, our country, our home, a better place to raise our babies in.

Evil has no place here.  We must seek justice.  We the people can do that.  We can push back against those in leadership and make them do their jobs. We should have done this a long time ago.

I am currently looking at photos on my table, photos of my kids, of our entire family on vacation, of my babies when they were babies. My wedding day marrying the man I am madly in love with.

If I had lost any of them to something so senseless, you bet your rear end I would call for something to be done.

Because those lives absolutely matter to me.  They matter.

Those lives lost, young and old. They matter. They are important. Human beings are worth the fight. We can always change laws if things improve.  But we can’t bring loved ones back from the dead.

Let’s starting talking. Let’s seek justice and love kindness and walk humbly.

Be a Size you,

Tiffany

Fad’s Are Fun, But Do They Provide Lasting Results?

Blueberry Smoothie of the Day

Of course, if someone were to ask you that question, you would say no.  You might even shout it from the rooftops that “fads don’t work, so stop following them.”

And I would agree with you, 100 percent.

But here is the thing: A lot of us say that fads don’t work, but we are using them and falling for them every time they rear their ugly head.

Why?

Well, for starters, look at the promises they make!  Great health and weight loss in a matter days, weeks.

You don’t have to spend a whole year getting the results you want, just do this for a month and your life will be changed.

Sometimes, they even tell you that you don’t have to change your eating habits or physical activity.  Just pop a pill, drink a shake, do this procedure, and everything will be good.

Sometimes, you are required to change your eating habits, but they make you go through extreme processes such as eliminating certain foods (carbohydrates, fruit etc)

Here are some numbers that I found in regards to fad diets and what they are truly producing in our health and fitness (Information found here):

*More than 1 in 20 adults are considered to be extremely obese.

*In 2010, 54% of adults said they were currently on a diet.

*The number of Americans who regularly consume low calorie, sugar free foods and beverages: 187 million.

*About 33% of kids between 6-19 years of age are considered to be overweight or obese.

*Fad diets are more likely to work when 150 minutes of exercise is completed every week.

*65% of people who successfully complete a fad diet will end up gaining all of their weight back that the lost.

There is so much more where that came from.  To be fair, any diet will work.  Anytime you limit your calorie intake for a period of time, and you replace the junk food with healthier options, you will see some sort of result in your weight loss journey.

Here is what fad diets prey on: The mentality of cheap, fast, easy. And, the longevity of their product or resource that they are offering changes as often as the trends do.

Let me cut it down to size for you, stop falling for the fads.  Stop allowing them to make it confusing for you when it comes to your health and fitness journey.

I know that to say move your body and eat nourishing foods sounds trivial and that I don’t understand how hard it is, but I do. Because I was there for years doing the latest and greatest available to man until I found systems that worked for ME and for my ultimate goal: a lifetime of health.

I workout five to six days a week.  Usually no more than 30-40 minutes (sometimes, I can get away with moving my body intensely for 20 minutes! Score!)

I workout mostly in my living room using a virtual gym membership (This one is my favorite.) As well as getting out and working out with friends and family. Hiking, running, dancing, walking, or a local bootcamp is a great way to stay active and feel support and be consistent and change scenery!

I have chosen to eat a more Paleo type diet (having a diet is different than being on a diet….remember that!) My philosophy really is to eat as many whole, nutrient dense foods as possible.

I drink my superfood Shake each day because, hello, I am a busy wife and mom and spend a lot of time in the car taking people places.  It is BRAINLESS nutrition for me….I don’t have to think about it. It is the ultimate Mom Fuel!

Speaking of fuel, one of my kids who shall not be named, refuses to try to eat veggies. No matter how I try, he absolutely believes I am trying to poison him. Dramatic, that one is.  So I have also decided to give my kids their daily serving of veggies and fruit in a shake for a snack, so that I feel a little more confident that my kid isn’t going to drop dead from refusing to eat his veggies.

My kids are active. Madi swims 4-5 days a week. Sean has a baseball game twice a week and at least one baseball practice.  I make sure that I invest to get them what they need because they have growing bodies that I need to pay attention to.

All that to say, my process isn’t that complicated. Yours shouldn’t be either.   You need to do research.  You need to, tough love here, step away from the easy, quick, and fast aisle in the grocery store and buy as many whole foods as possible. Healthy food isn’t more expensive.  You believe it is because companies have lied to you.  Fad diets have lied to you. Fast food may be filling your stomach and stopping the hunger pains for the moment, but you are still deprived of nutrition. You are empty of what you actually need.

Your body doesn’t need another diet with big promises. Your body needs you to make the decision to change because your choices don’t just affect you. They affect your entire family.

Imagine you had a choice to get healthier, your very life was on the line, and these were your options:

A. Invest in your health, but it meant that you could live longer and be there for your kids and you could get better.

B. Complain that eating healthy and exercise is too expensive and too inconvenient and it would take too long, then you end up dying and leaving behind your kids.

Yeah…I went there.

Read the statistic again about how more than 1 in 20 adults were considered extremely obese. If these fad diets were so good, than that number should not be the truth..  That should not be the reality.  I am so saddened by the fact that we could absolutely change this, but we choose not to because we believe the lie that fast, easy and cheap is the best way and it is not fair that it is expensive.

You want to save money? You want to put more money back in your wallet? You are tired of paying the doctors to stay ill and on medication when you want to be living whole and free?

Get healthy.  Make those changes. A healthy person does not visit the doctor nearly as much as those who are chronically ill due to their unhealthy habits that can be changed due to diet and exercise.  If you are on medication or sick all the time, over time, with consistency and being willing to stick with it,  you will see a transformation take place.

It won’t happen as fast as those fads try to sell you, but it will happen. But you have to be willing to step up to the plate, slam those lies that are pitched at you out of the park, and run like the wind to score.

Go do it, sister friend.

Be a Size You,

Tiffany

In One Week, You Can Begin To Change Your Life

That sounds like a big over promise, doesn’t it?

In just one week?  Notice that I didn’t say that in one week, you will:

*Reach your goals

*Lose all the weight

*Get six pack abs

*Solve all your problems

But, in one week, you can begin the journey.  To begin the process to work on the things that you know, deep inside, you need to work on.

I have a couple of questions for you.

  1. What is the current problem you are facing in your Be a Size You journey?
  2. How will you feel once that problem is solved?

One of the biggest concerns I hear from my sister friends who are working on their journeys is that they feel so completely overwhelmed by the changes that have to be made, even though they know they need to happen.

They feel like a failure when they can’t complete a sixty day fitness plan (or even a 30 day plan!) and they get stuck in this self-defeating cycle of quit and start again.

I want to change that for you.

What if, in one week, you can begin to work on that problem you are facing in your Be a Size You journey.  Whether it be the internal struggles and the external that leaves you feeling bewildered and frustrated and desire for change, one week is truly all you need to begin that process.

Beginning on October 9th, I will be launching my Clean Week groups.  They will happen once a month, in the beginning of the month.

They will run for 7 days only.

They will include 30 minute workouts that anyone can do. I promise, even the most beginner of fitness levels can do this.

There will be simple food guides and recipes so you and your whole family can do this and support each other.

There will be superfoods to make nutrition even more brainless for you.

Continuous support and encouragement from me and fellow sister friends who are doing this with you. You won’t be alone!

Scripture and hope because I truly believe God cares about you and your health.  Because I want these one week gatherings to be a place where we tackle our giants head on, where we are uplifted and motivated, and spurred on to love one another and do good.

For a group like this, you can do the workouts for FREE.

But, if you are truly wanting to maximize your efforts, and expedite your results, $30 is all you need for your brainless nutrition.  Because it is not enough to just move our bodies.

We must nourish them.  We must put good things inside.  We must take the week seriously if we are really going to tackle that goliath in our Be a Size You journey.

Got questions about my Clean week (which really, I feel like it should be called Freedom week….because that is what we are seeking! Freedom from our giant problems!)

Feel free to shoot me a message over at coachtiffanyharper@gmail.com. I would love to chat with you and learn more about your goals and how I can serve you!

Be a Size You,

Tiffany

Big Weekend Coming up and Some Jane Goodies

Happy Thursday!!! I am so excited that the weekend is almost here!  Today, I am prepping some snack food for our College Football viewing, as well as helping Madi out at her Swim a thon that will be taking place Saturday.  This is her swim team’s biggest fundraiser of the year and all the money they raise will go towards the needs of the team and swimmers and to host meets, etc.  Madi is loving her time on the swim team.  She has stated that she would love to compete at the Olympics when they are in LA in 2028 so here we go!!!  So proud of this chick!

I have something fun to share with y’all.  It is no secret that I enjoy shopping and sharing with you guys the cutest clothes that I find on the interwebs. There are so many amazing women who own the cutest boutiques, and I am constantly in heaven, much to my husband’s horror.  He hides the wallet!

I also love a really good deal and if you have never heard of Jane.com, allow me to introduce you! I was introduced to this company last year by my sweet friend, after I asked her  about a really cute shirt she was wearing in a video. She told me that she practically gets most of her clothes from there.  I didn’t know what to expect, and I was hesitant at first because there are a lot of clothing websites on Facebook and Instagram that aren’t legit and will scam you of your money (and they aren’t even located in the US and the shipping takes forever, if it even arrives at all.)

But I have been so happy with Jane.  A lot of my favorite pieces in my closet have come from this store and I love that they partner with boutiques and small businesses and they are at a great price point!

Dress  and booties from Jane.com

Here are some pieces I am eyeing right now on their site:

Ankle Booties / 3 Colors

Ruffle Sleeve Babydoll Top

Slide Loafers with Tassel / 6-11!

Fall Floral Swing Dress!

They even have stuff for your home and your children!

Striped Turkish Hand Towels

Oversized Farmhouse Style Vinyl Designs

Personalized Hoodie Sets / 0-24 Months

(basically, I need a cute little girl to dress up!)

There are a ton of great items on this site. And a lot of these items that are shown (among others) are only available for a short period of time. It is essentially a deal site where you can buy really cute clothes, accessories, home goods, and more at a special deal and then once the time is up, that’s it! And things do sell out often on this site, so if you see something you LOVE, don’t hesitate to grab it.

You can also download the app as well, but take it from  me, that is really dangerous. LOL!

I hope you will check them out!  I would love to hear what you think.  Expect me to share a lot of deals on my facebook and Instagram when I come upon them because I truly do love this site!

Tiffany

My Life Changed When……

I finally had enough of not feeling good in my skin.

I wanted to develop healthy habits, but I wanted to do it the right way. Problem was, I didn’t really know what the “right way” was or meant or how to go about it.

I spent a lot of money and time on things that gave a false hope. Supplements couldn’t change my life….my new habits had to.

That meant that I had to move my body and build stronger muscles and workout.

That meant that I had to learn more about quality nutrition. Not just focus on low calorie, but on REAL food that gave my body what it needed to function at its most optimal.

It meant I had to say no to the things I enjoyed previously because they no longer served me in my pursuit of my goals. It meant being okay with being uncomfortable because that was how change was going to happen. I couldn’t take the easy way out.

Beachbody changed my life and helped me develop habits that I lacked. It gave me the confidence to finish a 21 day, 30 day, 60 day, or even a 90 day program because all I had to do was follow the workout calendar, get off my butt and push play.

Beachbody changed my life in that it wasn’t just about working out, but fueling our bodies. It meant following the nutrition guide that came with my program because it was designed to help me succeed. I wasn’t smarter than the program. I let the experts help me where I couldn’t help myself.

Beachbody changed my life in that it provided incredible high quality nutrition, Shakeology, meant to give me one nutrient dense and brainless meal a day, so that I could stay with my goals even as a busy mama and wife. It didn’t replace healthy eating and living, it enhanced it. It expedited my results and help me cut my habit of snacking.

Beachbody changed my life in the fact that I have a HUGE community of women who want the same thing: healthier lives. We support each other. Push each other. Celebrate each other. Some of us have taken on the roles as coaches to help other women do the same thing……encourage women to live healthier and fuller lives.

Beachbody hasn’t been instant gratification. It is hard work and a willingness to surrender to the process in order to reach a certain results. There is no room for know it alls and for those who aren’t willing to work for what they want. The incredible value that Beachbody has provided me for life (with a virtual gym in my living room with a few thousand dollars worth of workouts…no matter where I go?!) is far greater than anything else out there.

I don’t say that with arrogance. I say that with confidence. Because I am literally living proof of what can be achieved if we are willing to work for it.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work that hard.

If you are ready to finally take action on your health, I would love to help you 1:1 in October and provide the tools I have successfully used so you reach your goals.

Be a Size You,

Tiffany

Be Brave Enough to Try

What have you always wanted to do, but thought you couldn’t do it because you had never done it before and you were afraid you would be bad at it?

I thought I would throw this out there to the universe, because, well, why not?!

I have always wanted to have my own clothing boutique.

Don’t worry, I am not making a major announcement, at least not today, but I thought I would be a good thing to chat about today. How many times are we told to not pursue something simply because we have never done it before or we don’t know how to do it.

“Everything is figureoutable”-Gary Vaynerchuk

I was talking to my husband about this the other night, how we have so much information and education and tools at our fingertips that literally, if we wanted to learn more about something, we could just GOOGLE it.

You can google how to start a business selling your own crafts out of your bedroom.

How to create a YouTube channel that provides incredible value and content.

Even how to make money on your blog just by writing and being able to direct people where to buy a product or tool.

You can even begin impactful and meaningful non-profits or organizations or ministries, simply by being willing to educate yourself and take those first action steps to be bad at it, so that you can learn and grow and be better.

Why is this idea of not doing something simply because we don’t know how or have never done it before so powerful, so crippling? Why do we allow it to control our decisions or dreams?

I am not saying we should not seek advice or wise counsel. The bible even tells us that seeking wise counsel from wise individuals is for our benefit.

And truthfully, not everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur. It takes work and patience and diligence and a willingness to fail sometimes.  Most people are more comfortable with security and having a 9-5 job, because they believe that is stable (which I don’t think it actually is, but that is my personal opinion, not fact.)

I love this quote about being brave enough to try something new. Of course you are not going to know all the answers and you may mess up a bit. Of course it is going to feel awkward and uncertain and even a bit scary.

But I think that is the beauty of it, really. You learn something new about yourself and you get to grow and become better.  We all want to become better. But in order to do that, you have to make attempts at doing things you weren’t familiar with.

Choose to grow, sister friend!

What are some things you have always wanted to do, but too afraid to because you didn’t know much about it?
